Cupcake Bouquet

Cupcake Bouquet

Tired of making the same ol' traditional birthday cake? Then you should try this adorable cupcake bouquet! It's perfect for that special girl in your life.

The best part about this cupcake cake is that it's really fast to make, but it looks like it came from a posh bakery! I assembled this entire bouquet in less than an hour (using premade cupcakes that I bought from the bakery)

Items You'll Need:

  • Cupcake mix & frosting (or buy them premade...much easier!)
  • Starburst fruit candy
  • Sprinkles (optional)
  • Bamboo skewers
  • Rolling pin
  • Scissors or sharp knife
  • Vase or basket
  • Floral foam
  • Basket filler or tissue paper

To Make Cupcake Bouquets:

1. Bake cupcakes and frost them after they've cooled (or purchase them from the bakery already made).

2. Unwrap Starburst candy and put them on a microwave safe plate. Warm them in the microwave until they are just soft (about 15 seconds).

3. With your rolling pin, press the candy flat. You can squish two pieces of candy together to make a larger flower if you need to. Cupcake Bouquet

4. Use a cookie cutter, knife, or pair of scissors to cut a large flower shape from each flat piece of candy. Make another small circle with a different color to place in the center of each flower.

5. Add sprinkles if desired, and place one flower on each cupcake. Put the finished cupcakes in the freezer for about 10 minutes to make them easier to work with.

6. Insert a bamboo skewer into the bottom of each cupcake.

7. Cut a piece of floral foam to fit in the bottom of a basket or vase. Stick the skewers into the foam to create a pretty floral arrangement. Using basket filler, tissue paper, or other decorative material, fill in the areas around the top and skewers to complete the look.
