brownie recipe Items You'll Need:
  • Boxed Brownie Mix-OR-Ingredients for easy brownie recipe below

  • Mini-cupcake/muffin pan

  • Pink frosting-OR-Ingredients for frosting recipe below

  • Chocolate chips in the shape of hearts-OR-Chocolate melts to make your own

    Best Brownie Recipe:

    Yields about 36 mini-brownies

    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/3 cup baking cocoa
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 cup vegetable oil
    • 4 eggs
    • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • Cooking spray

    Directions for homemade brownies:

In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder. Combine oil, eggs, corn syrup, and vanilla in another bowl; add to dry ingredients. Spray mini-muffin/cupcake/brownie pan with cooking spray, and fill each cup 2/3 of the way full. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the brownies comes out clean.

    Frosting Recipe:

    • 2/3 cups butter, softened
    • 4 cups confectioners' sugar
    • 2 tablespoons milk
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 4 drops pink food coloring

    Directions:

In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, confectioners' sugar, and milk until light and fluffy (about 3 to 4 minutes). Beat in the vanilla and pink food coloring.

    To Make Brownies:

    1. After baking brownies, top them with the pink frosting.

    2. Place a small chocolate heart on the top of each one. I found mine at a craft store, but if you can't find them, you can make your own. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and melt some chocolate chips in the microwave. Form hearts with the melted chocolate on the parchment paper, and place them in the refrigerator to harden.

    3. Put your finished brownies in a small treat box, tin, or other gifting container.
