Last Minute Valentine Gifts
Need some last minute valentine gifts? Here's a project you can make with items you may have around your house! These make perfect Valentine's Day favors for parties or weddings. This project came to me when I was trying to figure out what to do with all the extra candy canes from Christmas. Every year we have so many of them left, and I always feel so bad throwing them away. How to Make Candy Canes Hearts:1. Melt milk or dark chocolate chips (white chips work well too) in the microwave according to the package directions. Most chips take about 45 seconds at 50 percent power. Stir, and if not fully melted, put them back in for 30 seconds at a time (on 50% power), stirring frequently. Be careful not to cook the chocolate chips too long...they will burn! 2. Line a cookie sheet with wax or parchment paper. Dip the unwrapped candy canes in the melted chocolate, and place them in a heart shape on the lined cookie sheet. Using a spoon, pour melted chocolate on any uncovered areas of the candy cane heart.
