Wine Cork Gift Basket, then a Bread Basket

by Jean Salcido
(Gilbert, Az.)

Wine Cork Gift Basket/Bread Basket

Wine Cork Gift Basket/Bread Basket

First this is a wine cork gift basket, then a bread basket. I used a basket that is 9 x 11 and 4" tall. You start around the top edge and hot glue the used cork all the way around vertical, then you can continue around the same or put a horizontal row around. Before you start it is a good idea to kind of get an idea what way they will fit the best. Around my baskets I have a edge or trim so I put the corks horizontal then start the vertical. Cover the basket with your corks, for the top I crochet a chain stitch with a thick jute and glue that around the top to finsh off.

Then I fill with a paper filling and a Bottle of your favorite Wine and a couple of Wine Glasses and a Nice Candle. Finish it of with a Nice Bow with a ribbon that is right for the occassion, Wedding, Valetines Day. Then when it is empty you have a Great Bread Basket. Everyone loves this for a house warming gift. You can put just anything in these baskets, Lotions, Coffee, Tea, and a couple Mugs.
